5. This year the Festival in the Park was moved from Rushton
Park.
This was a decision made by Central Alabama Pride based on logistical
concerns. The Festival had become too large to continue being held in
Rushton Park without a SIGNIFICANT increase in volunteers AND without causing
substantial damage to the improvements made to the park. The Neighborhood
association was still willing to work with Central Alabama Pride, however,
the Board decided to move the location to reduce expenses and volunteer
requirements. |
